First Faith approaches the Sabbaths question a number of ways, but the Sabbaths are definite.
1 - In Exodus 20: 8-11, the seventh day is shown as the weekly Sabbath Day, coming after six days of work. A quick glance at nearly any calendar will show that the seventh day is Saturday. Most dictionaries' first definition of Sabbath will agree with the calendar.
2 - A second presentation, given in Deuteronomy 5: 12-15, agrees.
Neither of these references includes an expiration date! (It is WE who have an "expiration date!") In fact, conspicuous by its absence is the closing comment in the creation account regarding the seventh day. Notice that days one through six are given an ending by the phrase "evening and morning, the first (through sixth) day," but not the seventh day! There is no "evening and morning, the seventh day!" Yahweh blessed the seventh day and set it apart! It received no mention of ending. Yahweh never intended that it end, and it hasn't! His same seventh day weekly Sabbath is still in force!
This does not mean that Second Faith has not tried to end it! Its hero, Satan, has tried everything to end all remnants of true Sabbath thinking everywhere, using the Catholic Church to "transfer the solemnity" from the true Sabbath to Sunday, the "Lord's Day," but we are warned throughout scripture against becoming idol worshippers and "sun-worshippers," or Sunday-worshippers. And in addition, all of the Feasts of Yahweh, also known as Sabbaths, have also been abandoned by the Christian Church, which has replaced them with its own "holidays," including Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter, which is expressly condemned in Isayah 1: 14, which says, "YOUR new moons and YOUR appointed feasts My soul HATES! They are a burden to Me. I am weary of bearing them!" Yahweh has given us the days to celebrate, and to change them is totally evil.
Trickery has been used to mislead new believers into accepting the "Sunday Sabbath," which they refer to as "The Lord's Day," a uniquely and ironically accurate term, since originally, the "Lord" was Baal! This trickery has taken two forms:
1 - Teaching that any day is as good as any other day to celebrate as a Sabbath. This is a distortion, a Christian misunderstanding, of what a day is, of the teaching in Romans 14: 5, "One man esteems one day over another; another man esteems every day equally." Clearly, upon reading verse 6, it is apparent that the topic here, a "day," is a "Feast Day," or a Feast Sabbath, not the weekly Sabbath. The intent here is to show that to one man, Passover may be the preeminent Feast Sabbath, while another may view Pentecost as the preeminent Feast Sabbath. For a man to regard one Feast day as dearest to himself is no sin, but changing the weekly Sabbath is! To some, all Feast days are equally holy and dear.
2 - Teaching that the Resurrection occurred on a Sunday. This belief is a Christian distortion of the teaching in Matthew 28: 1, which says He arose on Saturday. Your Bible says so. What it actually says is, "In the end of the weekly Sabbath (before sundown Saturday), as it began to dawn toward the first day of the JEWISH week (just after sundown Saturday), Miriam Magdalene and the other Miriam went to see the sepulcher." It was the first day of the week, just after sundown, but it was not Sunday, a Roman day that would not begin until midnight! The term "Sabbath" means a span of time from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday! It is a Jewish term for the reckoning of time. The focus of this passage is the sundown, and doesn't even approach Sunday, which would come hours later! And besides, the heavenly messenger in the tomb said, "He has risen!" This means it happened before sundown anyway. And to the glory of Yahweh, His Son Yahshua was in the ground from Sabbath (Passover) to Sabbath (weekly Sabbath)! He claimed He would be "in the heart of the Earth" three days and three nights (Matthew 12: 40), something Christians just can't get around with their Good Friday-Easter Sunday scenario. Just which three days and three nights COME between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning????? They have confused the eve of a Feast Sabbath with the eve of a weekly Sabbath; THAT'S where Good Friday came from. They then confused the end of the Sabbath with the end of Saturday. THAT'S where Easter Sunday came from! Both pagan. Both wrong!
3 - And what about the other Sabbaths?? That's right, there are other Sabbaths - SEVEN of them! And they fill a very important need. Their practitioners, by observing these other Sabbaths, actually live out the Great Plan of Yahweh in the process. It's a fabulous plan, and its understanding brings great peace and comfort to its followers. Here's an outline of these biblically commanded feast days:
1 - Passover comes first:
In the Old Testament, in Leviticus 23: 5, it represented the Death Messenger's passing over the homes of believers in Yahweh who had placed blood on their doorposts as a sign of their belief. All of the other homes suffered loss of their first born throughout Egypt.
In the New Testament, it represents the Heavenly Son's shedding His blood for our sins.
2 - Then comes the Feast of Unleavened Bread:
In the Old Testament, in Leviticus 23: 6-14, leavening (yeast) was put out of the home and food products containing it were not eaten for the duration of this seven-day feast Sabbath.
In the New Testament, it represents putting sin out of our lives, once we're dedicated to the Heavenly Son.
3 - This is followed by Pentecost or First Fruits:
In the Old Testament, in Leviticus 23: 15-22, it represented the gathering of the smaller, Spring harvest.
In the New Testament, it represents our receiving the Holy Spirit.
4 - Next is the Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashana:
In the Old Testament, in Leviticus 23: 23-25, it was a day of the blowing of trumpets.
In the New Testament, it represents a time of world wide conflict, plagues, and turmoil, ending with the Second Coming of the Heavenly Son.
5 - The Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur follows:
In the Old Testament, in Leviticus 23: 26-32, it was a day of fasting and repentance.
In the New Testament, it represents Satan's being bound and thrown into the lake of fire for the duration of the Millennium, during which time the world becomes "at one" with Yahweh.
6 - Next is the Feast of Tabernacles:
In the Old Testament, in Leviticus 23: 33-43, this seven-day feast day Sabbath represented the greater harvest, the fall harvest, during which time the celebrants lived in temporary dwellings.
In the New Testament, it represents the Millennium of Rule by the Heavenly Son and His Saints.
7 - Finally comes the Last Great Day:
In the Old Testament, in Leviticus 23: 36 and 39, this day, the day immediately following the Feast of Tabernacles, appears to be simply the eighth day of Tabernacles, but it is more. By being the eighth day, it represents a new beginning for new believers and followers, just as the eighth day in Genesis 2 was a new beginning.
In the New Testament, it represents the Great White Throne Judgment. This day illustrates the moment at which all of humanity, not called out before at the Spring harvest of First fruits, will be able to hear the True Gospel and accept salvation. Have you ever heard this biblical teaching before in your church? Does it comfort you to know that your unsaved loved ones will have a second chance to receive salvation? Have you helped prepare them for this moment???? I hope you have. After all, they're your unsaved loved ones. Do you love them enough to teach them the Truth?
This is a summary of the seven Feast day Sabbaths' significance. First, we accept our "passover" through the Heavenly Son's shed blood for our sins. Second, we repent by getting sin, our "leaven," out of our lives (THIS MEANS WE EMBRACE THE LAW!). Third, we receive the Holy Spirit. Fourth, we press on through the resistance of the world, which began when we embraced The Law. Fifth, we see victory with Satan's defeat in our lives. Sixth, we begin the Millennium of the Heavenly Son's actual reign on Earth. Seventh, we see the throngs of humanity, many of them our loved ones, coming to salvation.
First Faith knows that only one of the following two things can be true:
1 - The seminaries, that supposedly teach our clergy, know these truths about the weekly and feast day Sabbaths, clean food, proper names for the Heavenly Father and Heavenly Son, and the timing of the events surrounding the Crucifixion and Resurrection, AND ARE DELIBERATELY SUPPRESSING THEM!!!!
OR
2 - The seminaries don't know these truths!!
If they know these things and are suppressing them, they have no business teaching. If they don't know these things, they still have no business teaching. So how do they justify their own existence if they don't teach the truth??
These things are extremely important. Yahweh said that the mark would be in the right hand and in the forehead. How we use our hands (to work or to not work) on the Sabbath helps determine whose mark we're choosing. How we use our forehead (what Name we worship) on the Sabbath also helps determine whose mark we are taking. Notice that scripture says we will take one mark or the other, not be given either one! It will be our free will, just as eating the forbidden fruit was a product of Eve's (then Adam's) free will. Interesting, isn't it? Yahweh is Pro-Choice! But your pro-choice extends only to yourself, not to innocent, and especially unborn others.
